Kathy grew up in Northwestern Indiana and attended the First Christian Church of Griffith even before she was born. She graduated from Griffith Senior High School and married the preacher’s son soon after high school and they attended Kentucky Christian College (now Kentucky Christian University) together where she graduated with an Associates Degree in Secretarial Science.
She and David moved back home to Indiana in 1982 and attended the church she grew up in and was the church secretary for a time there until they moved to Tennessee in 1989. They attended Community Church of Christ until moving to Gallatin in 1999 and they began attending here at the Gallatin Church of Christ. She took the position of assistant to the secretary, Sheryl Jetton in 2007 and thoroughly enjoys working for the church as the now full time secretary. Kathy also works with the DayCare as the chair of the Child Care Board and helps with deposits, ordering supplies and other duties of the day to day running of a daycare. She loves to sing and enioys using her voice to worship the one who gave her that voice, Jesus Christ.
“So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock.” (I Peter 5:1-3 ESV)
Our congregation selects elders and looks to them to shepherd individual members and the congregation as a whole.

“For those who serve well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the that is in Christ Jesus.” (I Timothy 3:13 ESV)
Our congregation selects deacons and looks to them to serve the ministries and facilities that constitute our organizational life as a church.
